Time to catch up!

Well a lot of things have been going on so I have not had to much time to get on here, so let me catch you up on a few things!

1. Diet. Its going so so, I did ok on the trip did real good the day up there I did not stop for any fast food! But on the way back I stopped at McD’s I would have to give myself a c+ of a b- for trip. I want to thank you Cory for praying for me, that means a lot, and I need all of it I can get!

2.American Idol. They are down to eight now. So far my start off favorites are still in it. But I have a new one that is growing on me. Chris. I hope him and Danny make it to the finals. Both are Christians and serve as Music Ministers in there churches! I think that would be awesome! Turn in Tuesday night they will be singing songs from the year they were born!

On the Road Again

Well so far so good on my diet. The real test will come this week when i hit the road to travel to lubbock for my brothers wedding. Please pray that i have a safe trip and i eat right while i am on it!

Weight Loss Goal!

Ok so here is the deal, everyone that knows me knows that I am a few pounds overweight (maybe 1 or 2) J Just kidding!!!!! Every one knows I am more then that. I recently heard on the radio of a Christian singer that is trying to lose 90lbs by the end of the year, and he is bloging about it and keeping people in touch. So I thought I would do the same, maybe this will keep me motivated to lose the weight! We have 42 weeks until Christmas, its my Goal to lose 84 lbs (2lbs a week) by then. I know I can do it. But I need prayer and any encouragement and helps that you can give! Well pray for me, this is something I have known I need to do but its time to do it, if not for me then for my family!

Down With FOX!!

Monday night I was watching my Favorite show (24) and as it went to its first commercial all of a sudden the screen just went black! I turn the channels to see if it was any other ones, nope it was just fox! To make a long story short I missed the rest of 24 that had me furious!!!! So Tuesday night came around and I started to watch my second Favorite show (American Idol) and what do you know the same thing happen! I was beyond mad! After missing about 30 minuets it came back on. I have never been so mad at fox as I am now! Many of you know I love the FOX net work, when I am not watching 24 American idol or ESPN I am watching Fox News! I love it, but I was ready to do away with them about 7:30 Tuesday night.
I Just had to vent! :)

American Idol!!!

Many of you may not know this but I am an American Idol fan. Last night 3 more where chosen to make the top 12 and tonight they have the wild Card round to determine the final there of the top 12. One of my favorites so far this season will be singing to night to make the top 12, I am almost certain that he will. His name is Anop Desade (I don’t know if that how you spell his last name). This year to me is one of the most talented years ever my top three that I like the best are.
Anop- Looking at him you see a nerdy kind of guy that you would not think would be that good of a singer, but he has a big voice.

Scott Mac. This guys Is cool, he is legal blind, but he can get after the piano, oh yea he has very good vocals. Should do very well this year.

Danny Gokey- He right now is my favorite to win it all! I have never in my life wanted to just hear someone sing, but I do with him, he has an amazing voice and a wide rage of songs that he can sing. Another thing I like about this guy is he seems to be very humble. He is a guy that has went threw a lot,( he lost his wife about 6 months ago) but openly talks about his faith in God. He also is the worship leader at his church. He is a really good guy and I think he will win it all, defiantly top 3.

Well be sure to watch it tonight at 7:00 pm and root on my boy Anop!

Its been a while!!

Well i know its been a while and all my fans don't even look at my site no more, but i am going to try to get back into blogging! I think i found the trick that will keep me in it, i need to write about stuff that i know and that i enjoy, for example, i love sports so you will so a bunch of different sports topics on here, as well as different theology questions and different things. Well i hope i can stick with it:)

GOD IS SO AWESOME!!!

This week has been a real good week for me! Sunday we joined Ebenezer, the only bad thing about that is I have to deal with the pastor!:) Tuesday I had my b-day i am still under thirty so that's good:) Went out and had a good dinner at Jalapeno Tree ( looks like Brian is changing things) Wednesday I had a Job interview at work for the open manager spot, and also had good services at church, we were informed by Bro. Cully that Bro. Carson has helped a church get established!!!!! And today last but not least I got a call from my Boss and they offered my the manager job!! I accepted it!! God truly is awesome, I don't deserve the things that He gives me but I am sure glad to have them:)

Running Around like crazy!

Sorry its been a while, the last few weeks i have been real busy! We went to San Antonio over the 4th of July with the Jones family and we had a blast! Aubree turned 1 on the 15th so we had to have a big party for her, also i have been real busy at work, our manager quit so it has been crazy (pray for me i hope i get the manager job). Well i should be posting more soon, so my fan Big J will be happy:)

A Bad Start But Good Finish!!

Today started bad, heading to church we got away right on time, but however i had to get gas so i stoped at the "fast stop". That is a big LIE!!!! The slowest pumps that i ever seen in my life, it took about 7 min to pump $30 Gas!! So i was now running behind, then i get on the road and making good timing and you guest it i got behind a slow slow driver. So that was the bad part of the day, got to the church preached had a girl come down for baptism and they baptized her, and then we eat a Big Lunch!!!! Then we headed home where i took a nap, it was awesome:) To day was a good day!

He Can't Be Our Pastor!

He guys let me run this past you and see what you think.

I have a friend that goes to a church that is looking for a pastor and he has a friend in that church who's brother is a preacher, but they church will not allow him to come in view of a call because he is related to a member. What do yall think about that??

I think it is weird, what if they had a pastor and family wanted to join the church, are they going to tell them they cant because he is related to them?? I would like to here what you guys think

Turning 3!!!!!!

Today was Chloe's 3rd birthday! She had a great time, she got tons of presents and tons of ice cream and cupcakes! Its hard to believe that she is already three! I am getting old, but i will always be young at heart!! I am so thankful that God has blessed me with such a wonderful little girl!!

A Good Sunday!!

Sunday i preached at Pleasant Hill MBC to fill in for there pastor ( they said they where just in revival with Big J i told them i was sorry :) ) They where real nice people i enjoyed the fellowship. Next Sunday i will be preaching at Corinth MBC for there youth Sunday! I am thankful to God for the chance to preach His Word, I look fwd to the day when He allows me to pastor one of His Churches again!

Its a BOY!!!!!!

Wanted to let everyone know that Patricia went to the doc office today and we are having a boy!! YES!! Everyone knows we have 2 girls i don't know if i could have taken another one:) God has been so good to me and my family and if this blessing was not enough he also gave me a Job today! How awsome is God?? There are no words to describe it!!!

We're almost done!

What a week! We have been busy this week with VBS at Overton, Job interviews, Waiting for TV repair man (he still has not came!) going to wal-mart, but the week is just about over, now the final thing i have to do is decide where i want to go to Church for fathers day!
VBS has been good, i been helping out with Games this week, Chloe had a good time with her "new friends"
Job interviews have been good i guess, I think i got a good job,
The TV repair man, well don't even get me started on him!
We went to Henderson wal-mart to get food for the week got everything we needed only to find out there was only about 3 registers open (this was Thursday at about 4pm) So we waited in a line of about 6 people in front of us, they never opened any other lanes so i got fed up with it (the flesh got me) I left my cart and went home, then we went back to Kilgore wal-mart ( a much better Wal-mart) It only took about 15 mins to get in and out of line!
Now where do i go for Fathers day??? I guess i could take a poll:)

TO BE LIKE PETER!!

Often when people preach Matthew 14:22-33 the topic seems to be "don't be like peter" but we often forget that we should be like peter!

Vs 28 " And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water"

Do you see what Peter is saying there? He is showing great faith, to brake it down how i would say it he is saying " Lord I know its you, and if you want me to come out there tell me and i will"

What great faith! Peter said "i am willing to trust you Lord I will get out of the boat, but i am not coming unless its your will"

We need to be like Peter! We need to have the faith to get out of the "boat", and trust God.

I Love My Kids, But they..................................

You ever find your self saying that and filling the last part with things like " drive me crazy" or "are going to kill me". I don't know if you have but i have for sure in the past few days! We are trying to potty train Chloe ( its going to kill me) and Aubree is at that stage where she wants to get into EVERYTHING!!! But know matter what they are my kids and I love them.

Thinking about that and looking at my relationship with God i wonder when He looks down at me if He says "I love Daniel, But He.................... I am sure there are a lot of things that could go there such as " He is not always faithful to me" Or "He dose not always follow my will" Or "He sure is Stubborn". But i know that even though i let God down so many times every day i am His child and He loves me!

A Long Day With Some Fine People!

Hey guys today was a long day, but a very good day! I preached at Lydia MBC in view of a call today and the people there where awsome! The day was long we had to get up early so we could be there by 9:45 ( we left home about 8:20) we where at church tell around 12 then we went to a ladies house and had lunch and spent the day until 6, We had a good time of fellowship with her (her name was Paula). Then I preached and we got away about 7 and home about 8:30. We had a great time with the people there, i ask that you pray for this church as they seek God's man, and pray for me and my family that we find where God would want us to serve.

Preaching the book of Jonah

I recently preached The book of Jonah to the youth group where i was at and i will be preaching chapter 1 at the church I am preaching at Sunday, the title of the Series was "Man on the Run" (I am sure i got that from someone). I was going to share the titles with you and would be happy to share the sermons with you if you want them.

Chapter One: Running away from God
Chapter two: Running to God
Chapter Three: Running with God
Chapter four: Running in front of God
( I am sure i got these from some one to)

I should soon be finishing my studies that i had in Philippians and i will post them as well.

Missions Policy

Hey guys this could be something that we could do in the MBA of Texas.

1. The Church Requesting Funds may do so for 3 years
A. The First year the can request for Full Salary
B. The second year they can request for ½ Salary
C. The third year they can request for ¼ Salary

2. The Missionary Pastor Requesting funds may do so under these guidelines.*
A. The first 3 years on full salary
B. The next 2 years (after the 3 years) on ½ Salary
C. The Next 2 years ( after the 3 Full salary and the 2 half) on ¼ salary
D. Any time after this time designated funds will be applied.

3. The Church Planter requesting funds may do so under these guidelines.**
A. The First 5 years on full salary
B. The next 2 years ½ salary
C. Any Time after 7 years designated funds

* The reason for the Missionary pastor to only get 3 years is because he needs to start getting winged off and allow his church to at least pay half of his salary.

** The Church planter may be able to stay on Full salary for the first 5 years at that location. If he moves on after the five years he can be on full salary for up to 5 years at his next location.

This is just some thought I have, add to them, throw it away do what you want with them, I would like to see what you guys have to say about this.
